Below are some of my favorite strain I advocate to all !

1.) Buff Orpington

This strain was bring in in England in the later 1800s and has become very popular .

They are large with a quiet tendency and they lay turgid brownish egg . They are also greatwinter layersand splendid setters .

2.) Wyandottes

These are good browned egg bed and lean to be non - compositor which means they are not likely toturn broodyand pose on a clutch of ballock to hatch them out .

They are also a great dual - role stock which means they are good for ballock production and meat if you select to butcher them .

3.) Light Brahma

The Light Brahmais very quiet , gentle , and prosperous to handle .

So if you ’re face for chickens that ’ll make great pets this is a great option . They are upright brown egg bed , are likely to get broody , and will make good mother .

4.) Speckled Sussex

This breed is very gentle but they are known to be noisy than other strain . So they may not be the best selection for backyard chickens if you have neighbour who do n’t want to hear your birds .

5.) White Leghorn
