Each year , the Annual Flower Trial Garden quiz and analyze the performance of more than 1,000 varieties of one-year bedding plant life in Colorado ’s harsh growing conditions . Dozens of expert evaluators rate the plants for vigor , growth pattern , bloom , and other characteristic . The trial event aid home gardeners identify annual bedding plants that are most potential to succeed .

Gardening season 2020“The Annual Flower Trial Garden – also a vital training ground for CSU horticulture students – is a part of a connection of visitation gardens at land - Ulysses Simpson Grant university across the country , ” say Jim Klett , faculty coordinator and professor in CSU ’s Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture . “ It ’s the largest garden of its variety west of the Mississippi River . ” Winners from the 2020 rating are now available at area nurseries and garden center field for the 2021 home horticulture season .

This was a ‘ show stopper ’ due to the strong contrast between the dark purple / velvet foliage and beautiful bicolor blooms . works were exceedingly attractive all by themselves with the blue foliage tinge and consistent succinct growth habit . The prolific flowers were held high above the plant to create the maximum show . bloom had individual petal which attracted many bees . industrial plant did not have any sign of powdery mold even belatedly in the time of year .

The impressive size and shape create a very tropical and alien appearance . It is grown for the beautiful foliage which ca-ca a great structure plant in the garden . It does good in full Dominicus .

ripe container – Petunia ‘ Bee ’s Knee ’ from Ball FloraPlantThe abundant flowers and great two tone yellow color allow for exceptional flower business leader on very vigorous and well branched works . It was noted for having the best yellow of any genus Petunia in the trial .   The color held up very well in the eminent light intensity of Colorado .
