My DIY Workbench
A few years back I built myself this workbench and I perfectly love it . I had very little help from my hubby who was busy with other tasks .
This is a work horse and I utilize it about day by day when I am in my glasshouse potting up or create garden videos . It is antagonistic height which is great for all my garden potting , seeded player embark on or other fun tasks !
For those of you in need of such a work bench here is how I did it . Without further ado , my diy workbench !

Plans
I started with a plan from Ana-White.com it is a programme for aKITCHEN ISLANDthat I modified to fit my needs .
Mine is made to fit out under the window of mystudio cottage , so about 8 feet longsighted . I use every single inch !
I used 4 x 4 ’s for the legs but there are other way to make leg if you do n’t want to practice such heavy parts . Here is another great workbench that could be modify for this .. DIY Miter saw workbench .

Build
I pre - painted many of the part before putting them together , I just figured it would be easier but it is n’t necessary . I started with the legs rationalise to size of it for the height I want account in the tabletop for the finished dimension .
Aprons
I used a Kreg Jig to put my DIY workbench together and it was well worth its purchase price . Here I attach the side aprons first .. I did not bother paint the part that would not be find out under the mesa .
Next , I attached the second side forestage and stood them up to realize I had put the Kreg Jig holes in the painted side , oh well , I am used to fixing my goof - ups . It will be easy enough to paint this side subsequently .
With this Kreg Jig kit there was an tot up attachment I just love . It is a little dealy bobber that permit me seize my vacuum hose to the Kreg Jig and as I drill the holes the sawdust is cleaned decent up . Now I do n’t have to vex about pesky sawdust pilot all about my studio apartment when I build thing in its heated comfort .

Up next was attaching the front and back forestage slice to the side . These I failed to pre paint but no headache , easy enough to do later .
you could see I was crop on hamper quarters but it still worked .
Bottom Shelf
For the bottom shelf of my DIY work bench , I want it to be gamey enough I could fit this basket and other memory board bins under so I used the basket to appraise for it . Oh so very high tech . I used the scanty board here to give me the extra inch or so . I made my pencil mark and that was it .
I attached the supports for the shelf . I just screw them on , no need for the Kreg Jig here .
The shelf is just a piece of scrap plyboard I had and so is the top . I painted the ledge gloomy like the leg and the top white for contrast .

And there you have a great workbench / table . I have used this in my Primrose Cottage studio apartment as well as in my greenhouse .
I have since built a exchangeable workbench in a small sizing but very useful . And I used similar technique ( without a Kreg Jig ) to build up a small out-of-door mesa for our deck .
