Here is an instance of something I care I saw more often in my gardening travels – places to sit in the front railway yard ! Lauren McVey Rush , another nurseryman I visited when in Chicago a couple of week ago , created this inviting seat area , not in her back yard , but in the front , where it greets her visitor with a reposeful place to put down their luggage and sit down for a while . It ’s a cool , shady spot , and the circumvent garden gives her front yard more depth and use than the average lawn and foundation planting .
