Conifers come in all sizes, shapes, and colors
One of my favored elbow room to get ideas for my own yard is to visit public gardens . Great public gardens give me a chance to see fledged specimen of Tree , shrub , and perennials and then resolve which 1 I would like best for my own space . A few years ago , I visit the fantastical conifer assembling at Hidden Lake Gardens in Tipton , Michigan , which has a really rattling collection of these great evergreen trees . In many climates , dusk is a great time to plant tree , so now is a good time to pick out a new conifer or two for your own garden .
Here are some of my favourite .
Blue mask white true fir ( genus Abies concolor‘Blue Cloak ’ , zone 4–8 ) . coniferous tree may not have jazzy flowers , but they can contribute a lot of color from their needles . This selection of true fir is one of the good , with incredible gloomy - green needles , on a plant that stays compact , making it perfect for a small garden .

verbalize of colour , how about this gilded hinoki false cypress tree ( Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘ Crispii ’ , geographical zone 4–8 ) ? The flat sprays of needles are a bright Au that is particularly vivid in the winter , exactly when you need coloration the most .
Weeping white-hot pine ( Pinus strobus‘Pendula ’ , Zones 3–8 ) is one of those plants that goes through an ugly phase . Young specimen are awkward and kind of ridiculous looking . But once they get matured , they explicate into beautiful , graceful tree diagram that are a perfect accompaniment to every garden .
Dwarf Norway spruce ( Picea abies‘Pumila ’ , Zones 2–8 ) is an unusual little industrial plant that commence lifetime as a downcast knoll and finally , slowly , spreads to make a flat gym mat of double-dyed green foliage .

Here ’s the wide view of part of the conifer collection at Hidden Lake Gardens . awful how a beautiful space can be make just by using unlike colour , shapes , and sizes of conifers !
