SixOnSaturday
I just got back from a span of days in Paris with study . pastry were consume . It ’s tardy Friday evening now , the photos were taken in dusk light , so you ’ll have to imagine how much sound they ’d look if taken in bright sunshine . I ’m off to get ready for my political campaign tomorrow ( or today ) so I ’ll leave you to get on with Six on Saturday . Six thing , in the garden , on a Saturday . Could be anything , you decide !
Here are my Six for this week .

1 – Clematis duple act . C. ‘ Blue Angel ’ and C. ‘ Madame Julia Correvon ’ . I managed to reach two things here this year . First , I managed to keep most of the flowers on my side of the fencing , and 2d , I finagle to train the stem turn from both plants in such as a style as to get both sets of bloom flux nicely .
2 – Rose ‘ Buff Beauty ’ . In its 3rd summer , I think , possibly only its 2nd . It has grown up the treillage well with a bit of help from me , and is bloom profusely too .
3 – Dianthus superbus . I grease one’s palms this and several other genus Dianthus flora from a specialist baby’s room a couple of class ago . This is the only one left , the others are nowhere to be seen .

4 – Knautia macedonica ‘ Melton Pastels ’ . I ’ve grown these from seed in the past , but this metre rung I just bought three plants . They ’ve gone in the Lilac mete where they will get a bit of sunlight , but not that much , so we ’ll see how they get on . They are flowering enthusiastically enough at the moment .
5 – Rose ‘ Ali Baba ’ . I counted the bud on this climber the other day , there are well over 200 , many of them out at the mo . It will mean me deadheading over 200 expend blossom from it as well , but so be it . Very felicitous with my blush wine at the moment , they are all hold out with child guns . This is obviously due mostly to expert training and pruning on my part ( pah ! ) but reference should also grudgingly be give to Uncle Tom ’s Rose Tonic , the foliar feed I administer fortnightly during the growing season . They seem to flourish with it , very little issues with aphids or blackspot etc , just lot of healthy , sheeny leaf and a portion of flowers .
6 – Clematis ‘ Polish Spirit ’ . That ’s Polish as in Poland , not Polish as in Mr Sheen . engraft in the spring last year , it did n’t do a raft , and I did fear for it a bit this year when at first it put out a meagre exclusive stem . But I need n’t have worried , later in the spring enough more stem emerged and it has now top out the 6′ treillage against which it grows , along with a moss rebel . I buy this in the hope that it was the same change as one growing in some friends garden . Theirs is absolutely magnificent , 15′ high and whole covered in flowers at this time of year .

Have a top-notch weekend in the garden !
I ’ll be back next calendar week for another # SixOnSaturday .
