Old becomes new . That saying presently has two meanings for PDI . The first signification is of course that the current year will soon be the old year and that the coming class will before long be the new one . " 2018 was a busy yr for us . I recollect that I address on behalf of all greenhouse builders and installers when I say that nobody had to interest about whether this yr ’s docket would be full " , say Jeroen de Jonge of PDI . " Whether 2019 will be the same busy class again , we will only make out in exactly one year . At PDI we are sure enough working intemperately to be busy next year as well . "

The 2nd meaning of the deed of conveyance refers to the PDI Slip - in system . In 2009 , the first solecism - in system , interchangeable to the current rendering , was applied in a new nursery in the Netherlands . This therefore refers to the organization in which the conversant downhearted straps are woven ‘ into ’ the textile .

This version with the straps in the cloth is in 2018 still fully active . " It could even be that 2019 will be the year of the 1,000th hectare to be fitted with the Slip - in system , " Jeroen calculates .

But we are not there yet . Now it ’s about the Slip - in organisation . " That was invented , among other affair , so that the cloth no longer ask to be fasten with little clamps – and then , after old age , to be able to alter the cloth in a simple style . After 9 long time it was now time to put back the cloth from 2009 .

And that was quite exciting , Jeroen admits . " It is fair to say that we at PDI did not quite love how exactly this would go . After all , the canvas has been used in a greenhouse for many years with all kind of extraneous influence . " But the melodic theme from 2009 was totally correct . " On one side of the glasshouse we tied the old fabric to the young cloth and then commence to roll up on the other side . And it all went as intend . "

The tube - rail trolleys only had to be used in the first and last path . In the evening the installation just could run again . " And the new material were immediately finished off along the sides so nothing could get stick to on it . "

Jeroen explains that PDI ’s visual sense that fabric in the future no longer would take to be bond by hand , turned out to be right . " Slip - in systems are becoming more and more uncouth these sidereal day and are apply all over the world . Having been at the start of this mold method acting is something that we at PDI are very proud of . "
