Bougainvillea is an iconic vine in lovesome , dry parts of the world . Only sturdy in Zones 9–11 , it is a massive , thorny plant — but WOW , what a display when it bloom ! The actual flowers are small and snowy ; the intense Battle of Magenta color seen here is produced by the colorful bracts that surround the real blooms . But blossom or bracts , it has sustain to be one of the most beautiful plants in the universe .

Rows of potted geranium ( Pelargoniumspp . and hybrid ) . The pots in the front are the definitive zonal geranium , commonly arise as annuals all over the world .
